The technical project
Description of the project
Our client, a manufacturer of industrial cables, has several cable packaging lines. Different types of machines are used depending on the product to be packaged and the form in which it is packaged.
The packaging is carried out from mother reels containing several kilometres of cable. These are transformed into small reels under plastic film, on reels or in cardboard boxes in order to be sold to specialist distributors.
These production tools are several decades old and our client has chosen to renovate them progressively in order to ensure their maintenance and repair.
B2C’s mission is to replace the PLC of two packaging lines.
Scope of supply
MACHINE 1
- Replacement of a Siemens S5 PLC with a Siemens S7-1500 PLC
Replacement of a segment display by a Siemens KTP400 HMI
Replacement of a tachogenerator by a Profinet encoder
Conservation of the electrical cabinet
Programming in TIA Portal V16 of the machine operation as if it were the same
Development of the alarm and control screens
Commissioning and support for the resumption of production
MACHINE 2
- Manufacture of a new electrical cabinet
Identification of existing wiring and rewiring
Replacement of existing wired logic with a Siemens S7-1500 PLC
Replacement of a segment display with a Siemens KTP400 HMI
Replacement of a tachogenerator by a Profinet encoder
Programming in TIA Portal V16 of the operation of the machine as if it were identical (new program)
Development of the alarm and control screens
Commissioning and support for the resumption of production
